Giorgio Rossi, ESFRI Chair, on the new Roadmap on Research Infrastructures
In this short interview, Giorgio Rossi, ESFRI Chair, talks about the 2018 update of the ESFRI Roadmap on Research Infrastructures in Europe and stresses its global impact. The interview was taken during the new Roadmap's Launch Event which took place in Vienna (11.09.18).
"This Roadmap is strategically important for giving Europe a robust backbone for its advanced research but is actually more than that. It is not only about identifying research infrastructures but also about understanding the way they operate, how they are linked with each other and what is the relevance of the European Infrastructures in the global scene... The Roadmap has a global impact both for its content and its objectives, as it is enabling capabilities that each infrastructure has in different domains. Organizationally, the openness that several of these projects show allows full international participation.
