Long Term Sustainability
ESFRI WORKING GROUP ON LONG TERM SUSTAINABILITY
The objective of the LTS WG is to provide a consolidated input to the European Commission – EC – for the preparation of the Action plan mentioned in the Council conclusions, addressing the long-term sustainability of Research Infrastructures. The Sustainability debate is focusing on the pre-conditions identified by the consultation launched by the Commission in December 2015. These pre-conditions include funding and governance aspects of RIs, socio-economic impact as well as the management and exploitation of data and the innovation potential of RIs. All relevant stakeholders will have the opportunity to state their position, as these pre-conditions clearly call for a multi-stakeholder approach.
